This year, over 2,000 volunteers will build a 10,500 square foot playground in just six days at beautiful Sawyer Point by the Ohio River. The playground, fondly called "Every Child's" Playground was designed with all children in mind. Special features of the playground include extensive ramping for wheelchair bound children as well as components for the visually and hearing impared.
The theme of this year's project is fun on the river. With Tall Stacks coming in October the structure will feature a riverboat complete with paddle wheel and stacks. Components on the riverboat include: slides, tunnels, mazes, a shaky bridge, a rock climbing wall and other fun games.
There will also be lots of swings, a music area and a Finger Park where children can bring their own toys and play in a miniature town called Playville. Who Can Help? You, Your Family, Your Co-Workers.
